Nothing is easy anymore

Twelve weeks into training, I'm not making the kind of huge, easy gains that I was in the beginning.

For a while, my estimates threshold was increasing by 5 watts a week, increasing from 150 to 210 really quickly. Now, it's holding at 210 watts.

I'm seeing other gains, so I am still improving, just not in exactly the way I wanted.

My anaerobic power is going wild as I go after some 30- to 40-second segments on Strava. I'm hitting some 30-second power efforts that are among the best 5 I've ever done.

My time to exhaustion is really good. On the two Zwift mountains, I'm holding 95% of threshold for almost 2 hours.

My weight is still holding steady... I'm down 3 pounds in 12 weeks, which is barely any loss, but my body fat percentage dropped from 26% to 23%, so at least my composition is moving.

I think part of the issue is volume... I'm mostly doing about 7 to 7 1/2 hours a week. Hopefully as I increase my training volume, my threshold improvement gets unstuck. I still have dreams of getting it to 300 watts before the race next September.
